people wishing to immigrate to New Zealand, the Brandon Health Clinic
in the city's centre, provides a specialist service for your immigration
health requirements.
Our surgery offers a comprehensive Immigration Medical
including the medical examination, help for organising chest x-rays
and blood tests and any other tests necessary to meet the immigration
requirements. Please note there is an additional cost for the x-rays
and blood tests.
Immigration Medicals are required if you are applying for a temporary
visa or permit for New Zealand and you intend to stay longer than
12 months, or if you are applying for residence.
Here’s What to Do

Health Clinic by telephoning 04 499 3886 or completing
our booking form 
Before you visit our surgery, please go to the New
Zealand Immigration website and download the NZ Immigration Health
Forms. Fill in the forms, BUT DON’T SIGN THEM
as they need to be witnessed by the doctor.
When you come to your appointment, please bring
• Immigration Medical Forms
• Passport
• Passport photos (3 are required)
• Eye glasses (or contact lenses) if you use them
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment, so we
can check your Immigration Medical Forms.
Note: A urine sample has to be done at the surgery or at the laboratory.
Women – the immigration medical cannot be carried out
during your period as the urine sample can’t be taken during
menstruation and up to three days afterwards.
